A Very Good Day

The other day, I meant to get on and write but I forgot. Regardless, it was still an AMAZING day. I just hung out with my cousins and did harmless things, but it was just exactly what I needed. At one point, we were driving around with the windows rolled down, blasting our music-and I felt pure joy. It was one of those moments where you just stop and think, "Life is good." All of the distractions, stresses, and worries didn't matter because for a second it was just all about being grateful. Grateful for my life, my family, my opportunities, my music :), and the live in the moment feeling. There was crazy dancing and so much laughter I thought I might cry. That must sound strange, but my heart was so full with happiness and with being thankful that I just was in awe.
I think that God puts moments (or days) like this in our lives' to remind us of the good things, to help us remember to smile, and to realize that we have it MUCH better than a LOT of other people. We all have our problems-I know I have my concerns and fears; but, if we could just take time to say thank you for the things we do have, it would be a LOT easier to ignore the pain of the things we don't have. I love my family so much, they have really been there for me lately. Graduating College was an exciting adventure, but a lot of things happened that I didn't anticipate and that's been hard to deal with. I felt pretty alone and abandoned-until I realized that my very TRUEST best friends won't ever leave me: my family. Now, let's forget about the fact that they can't and they don't really have a choice-still, it's comforting. I think sometimes it takes moments like that to help us gain some perspective. In that one moment, I saw my life for what it is-full of love, laughter, family, and a love for God. What else could a person ever need?
